Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Tappin ("the app") handles information when you play. We collect only what is needed to run the online rankings and to keep the app stable.

Information you provide

When you submit a score to the online rankings or world records, the name you enter and your score — along with the game settings for that mode — are sent to our server and shown publicly on the leaderboard.

The name you enter is a display name of your choice. Because it is publicly visible, please do not enter your real name or any other personal information you don't want shown.

Stored on your device

Your best scores, game settings, and the name you last used are saved locally on your device using standard app storage. This data stays on your device except when you choose to submit a score, as described above.

Crash reporting and diagnostics

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, to collect crash reports and diagnostic information — such as your device model, operating system version, app version, and crash logs — so we can find and fix problems. This information is processed by Google in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Server logs and hosting

Our website and ranking server are hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the service, our server and Cloudflare may process technical request data such as your IP address, and operational logs of API requests (including timestamps and request traces) are retained for a limited period for reliability and abuse prevention. This data is not used to identify you personally or for advertising.

What we do not collect

The app does not ask for your email address, phone number, or precise location, and it does not use advertising trackers.

How the information is used

Submitted names and scores are used solely to build and display game rankings. Crash and diagnostic data is used solely to improve the app's stability. We do not sell any of this data to third parties.

Data retention

Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Names and scores submitted to the online rankings may be retained to keep the leaderboards accurate. Crash reports are retained according to Firebase Crashlytics' standard retention period.

Children's privacy

Tappin is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
